Minor procedures
Not every cut or lump needs a hospital. Many small procedures can be done safely in our procedure room, under local anaesthetic, in a single visit.
Dr Nkosi does most of our procedures: stitching cuts, removing moles, skin tags and small lumps, draining abscesses, treating ingrown toenails and managing wound care and dressings afterwards.
Anything we remove that needs checking is sent to the pathology lab, and we phone you with the result — you won't be left wondering.
We're honest about limits: anything too large, too deep or too close to a tricky spot gets referred to a surgeon. If we think a procedure belongs in theatre rather than our rooms, we'll say so.
Good to know
- Procedures are booked in advance so we can set aside enough time
- Local anaesthetic means you can drive yourself home afterwards in most cases
- Lab results for removed tissue are phoned through to you, usually within a week
